Please note that Lincoln Police and Fire dispatch is no longer performed at the Lincoln Public Safety Building. Penobcot Regional Communications Center now dispatches all emergency forces in Lincoln. To save time please dial the appropriate number to reach the dispatch center if you have a complaint or need to report something. Please do not call the PSB business line if you have a complaint as you will be transferred to PRCC and our lines will be kept busy while you are on the line with them. Open Burning Permits
Burn permits are available by coming to the firehouse in person and requesting one, but are only available depending on the current weather conditions and fire danger level. You may call the station ahead of time to check if they are available or click the link to the Maine Forest Service fire danger website on the right side of this website. The MFS updates the fire danger every morning at 0900 and throughout the day as conditions change. Permits may not be available until after the morning update. Please remember all fire other than small campfires are required by law to have an open burning permit.
Building/Chimney Inspections
Lincoln Fire Dept. performs inspections free of charge to Citizens and business in Lincoln. To schedule and inspection please dial the business line and request to speak with a firefighter.
Free Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detectors
Free smoke and CO detectors are available to Lincoln Citizens at the firehouse. Stop by and fill out a simple form to acquire one. Lincoln Firefighters will be happy to assist you with the installation as well, should you require it. We would like to thank Wal-Mart for supporting this program by donating the money for the detectors over ther past few years.
